Popular Post legenddc Posted April 12 Popular Post Report Posted April 12 Just finished up this entryway bench for our front door. Poplar and scrap plywood for the base was painted with Sherwin Williams Emerald trim urethane enamel paint. The top is walnut with Rubio Monocoat and a coat of the maintenance oil. Looking forward to seeing how it holds up. Waiting to sand and paint the wall until we know the picture frame hook isn’t moving down some. 5 Quote
Popular Post gee-dub Posted April 12 Popular Post Report Posted April 12 Nice one. I have always wanted an entry bench or table but our house layout doesn't support it. That doesn't stop me from trying to figure out somewhere that I can sneak one in. 4 Quote
fcschoenthal Posted April 12 Report Posted April 12 That's really nice and a fairly quick win if I remember correctly. Like gee-dub, my house just doesn't support an entry bench or table, which is a shame as I'd like to build one. 2 Quote
legenddc Posted April 12 Author Report Posted April 12 Yes, quick project. I didn’t keep track of the time to paint it but the whole bench and sanding was 10-11 hours. We had a shoe storage cabinet there before but this should allow backpack storage now too. A big reason was to test the paint and Rubio on a small project before I start on our office project. 1 Quote
Von Posted Sunday at 01:14 PM Report Posted Sunday at 01:14 PM Very nice. I'm guessing you sized it nicely for the spot which is one of the things I enjoy about woodworking. Quote
Chet Posted Sunday at 04:01 PM Report Posted Sunday at 04:01 PM Nice clean design. Designs like that fit well with any furniture style you may come up with in the future. Well done. Coop Posted Monday at 01:39 AM Report Posted Monday at 01:39 AM The top matches the floor nicely. Well done. Quote
