I notice the handles. Can the riser be rotated? I think a matching platform is the way to go Mr Horton. I appreciated a matching base for our communion table in my home church. Many brides also appreciated the fine furniture look and used the base to elevate the family/unity candle table in their wedding services.

This altar is amazingly beautiful and your congregation must be so pleased to have it.  All the different looks it has from the different vantage points.  Certainly a focal point for the front of the church.  Lovingly crafted and surely a reflection of its builder.
