Work Pants
I recently got a pair of Ultimate Flex Fire Hose Work pants from Duluth Trading. There are several different versions. The ones I got have built in pockets for knee pads. Big pockets on the thighs w Velcro flaps. I had a full day that was bound to have me crawling around measuring a jobsite for a 15 ft wall with bookcases either side of a fireplace. 10 ft tall, floor to ceiling. Those knee pads are incredible. So easy to move around, no discomfort at all. And walking around , climbing ladders, even driving I could barely tell the pads were there. All the pockets are generous. I carry so much stuff in my pockets that I add button suspenders to all my work pants.
The regular Fire Hose Canvas pants are thicker & heavier than the Flex version. Better for framing & heavy construction.
Over the years I've gotten quite a bit of Duluth gear. All their pants have a gusset in the crotch for comfort and complete freedom of motion. Shirts have underarm gussets and a pleat in the back for similar reasons. Tee shirts have 3" longer tails so they stay tucked in. They have frequent promotions ,discounts, free shipping etc that help with the prices, but they are serious about the guarantee .
Anyways what are some of your favorite finds?
