duckkisser
you might want to put more finish on it incase something spills on your tray. a glass of water or a bowl of soup would do some real damage to the wood. thats what i found out the hard way. wdwerker
Aromatic cedar is actually a member of the juniper family. It grows all up and down the east coast of the US. It is what we line cedar closets and storage trunks with.

Chris H
I believe cedar of lebanon is a different tree, grown in the middle east, aromatic cedar is a domestic product (much cheaper). A.Cedar is also much more aromatic than cedar of lebanon. CoL has an aroma more like spanish cedar, AC is almost overpowering when you work with it, its like sticking your head in a bag of fresh cedar chips. If it weren't so soft, AC would be one of my go to lumbers for everything. The color variations are stunning! Beautiful Tray. I would not have thought to put oak with ac, but they look very good together.
