While they have decent to good reviews they are also oil less which I think would result in less durability. Do you have any experience with them? Thanks! No I do not, but have been wanting to get one for years now. I just always choose other tools I actually need over it ... since I already have a compressor.
sjm1580
Went ahead and ordered the 2.5 HP Makita Big Bore compressor. Couldn't find a bad review of the machine, just problems with shipping. Thanks for all the help...
HuxleyWood
If you want a small compressor just pick a California Air Tools or Rolair that fit your needs, your ears will thank you.
sjm1580
I liked the California AT and Rolair offerings, but for my uses, the Makita met most of my needs. Thanks

I agree completely. I picked up one of these small Rolair compressors and am very happy with it. My old compressor just could not even begin to keep up with the air chisel I was using to remove some floor tile but the Rolair did a great job. Like it so far, pretty quiet, fast to full pressure. So far so good!
ghost
ya, i really like mine, compared to what i have had in the past. i was just curious if it was delivered yet. congrats!
ben_r_
Im in the market too and more than likely Ill be going with one from California Air Tools. Those things are just crazy quiet and they are that expensive IMO. Plus all the reviews seem to be great for them.
Immortan D
I wonder if this small Porter Cable compressor has enough juice to drive a pin nailer (23 ga) for amateur work. Full description is PORTER-CABLE CMB15 150 PSI 1.5 Gallon Oil-Free Fully Shrouded Compressor. Any owners?

wdwerker
Yea, it should work fine. I've been using a 23 gauge pin gun for a very long time. They don't always need high pressure. Play with how low you can get the pressure and still set the nails, then turn it up a little and go for it.
