Popular Post gee-dub
I spared you all my miserable progress on day 1 and 2 . New location. I had to gather up a bunch of the stock that I had been stashing at friend's and relative's homes. I had probably overstayed my welcome but, made up for it with the usual trinkets we woodworkers find to gift folks with so, all seems well. When no one was looking I appropriated one wall of a storage shed out back. I built a similar vertical storage rig to those that I "placed" at the previously mentioned friend's and relatives homes. I promised to go back and remove them . . . It is only partially full and the trailer is almost empty. I am hoping those two situations balance out in the end .
Ronn W
Great to have storage like that. You'll love it until, one day the sapce is too small. I don't have space for more than about 50 BF. Enjoy.
gee-dub
Part of my new 'evil-plan' is to let the lumber yard store my material till I need it. Now if I could just stop buying those "special" 1 or 2 boards each trip . . .
..Kev
Nice! I'll be doing some of that vertical space in my old shop as well. I really only left enough lumber storage in the new shop for the "current project" Like you, my intent is to let the lumber yard store my material until I need it.. My "good" yard is an hour and a half so I started . . . er . . . over-purchasing. Like so many things, extra material is fine in moderation. I need to swing the pendulum back toward center.
