Popular Post gee-dub
I know a few folks have these. Surprisingly useful. Mine changed my whole approach to an outfeed for my bandsaw and other things. In an effort to increase its usefulness I added a shallow shelf. I left it shallow as straddling a few things to get it into position was a feature I didn't want to lose. The real reason for the shelf was to make a portable home for my air compressor. I've had an air-plumbed shop before but I use air so little it was never as much use as it was effort to put in . I started just digging the compressor out and hauling it over the few times I needed it. I'm hoping that rolling it over when needed and having a place for a few nailer tools and accessories will be a good half way point between those two methods.
Tom King
I've come close to buying one of those, several times, but I don't have a good place to keep it. The one I was looking at had drawers.
Mark J
How easy is it to adjust the height? Is it infinitely adjustable?

It's a hand crank and can be operated with a couple of fingers. Lead screw adjustable within its range. I caught it on a sale and I imagine they will be a Christmas item(?). I wouldn't want to use it as a workbench that takes a pounding but, as a mobile, adjustable height work and support surface (and small compressor hauler) it works pretty well.

Popular Post gee-dub
I was cleaning up and realized I could cobble something together out of some scraps that were headed out the door. Has anyone ever regretted owning a hummingbird drill? One more set of stuff off the floor .
wtnhighlander
Good use of soon-to-be waste material! Can't say I have ever seen a "hummingbird" drill before...
Dave H
I have a similar drill that I use for sanding bowls on my lathe I've never used it foe drilling or driving screws yet. It works well for sanding tasks.
legenddc
Looks great. I've been trying to find a way to organize my brad nails. Will have to try those boxes if I can pry them away from my daughter who somehow claimed them as her own.
DUHb
Hey, was about to build a similar shelf for a husky table. Gee-Dub, how were you able to support the shelf in the back? 1st pic looks like you tied into the 4 holes near the back casters. Was planning the same. Thanks for any insight. Coop
Not sure how gee-dub did his but I purchased the same table after seeing his. There is a cross piece joining the two legs at the bottom. This piece can be either mounted to the front and act as a foot rest or mounted in the center. Both locations have two hole on each side. I mounted mine in the middle and put a board across the front to support the shelf (removed for this pic).
DUHb
HA, didn't notice those holes went all the way through both sides of the leg. Perfect, thanks Coop
