Cross Cut Blade

Recommended Posts

I'm looking for a full kerf, 10" crosscut blade, flat top ground for cutting rabbets and dado's on the table saw. I have a 24 tooth, FTG, CMT blade now.

Is there such a blade with a higher tooth count? Say...40T to 50Tor 60T? Probably not such a thing, but thought I'd ask.

Thanks Glen. I saw those online, but didn't know if they left a flat bottomed groove. Are you saying it is a good choice for slots...dado's and rabbets? (it looks like it from your pic. Just confirming.) Never used one of those.

Dead flat bottom and nice clean shoulders.  I think it is a combination of the ATB to slice the cross fiber cuts and the FTG raker to clean out the bottom.  Both operations take place in one pass.  I have many of my blades made to 1/8" kerf (if not made this way by default) because I use a lot of jigs and need a reliable measurement.  They do make "groovers" in wider widths but, if you need 1/8" most often like I do it is easy to make multiple passes.  I imagine most of the upper end blade makers offer some form of this blade if you have a favorite supplier.

I’m simple… I just buy Amana

I have some Amana cutters.  Good stuff.  Do you have a link to a blade that will fit the requirements for  @roughsawn?  Amana makes an amazing variety of stuff.  A product number or link would be very helpful.  I use their miniature router bits and they are great.
