nod
Does anyone know where I can source new V belts for the table saw and drill press? I know there's some love/hate debate with the link belts, but they seems to be all I can find online at the woodworking retailers. Where might one go looking for good quality replacement v belts built for shop tools? I've read mixed responses on going to the auto parts shop. help is appreciated. krtwood
mcmaster-carr is a good online source, though you need to know exactly what you looking for
minorhero
Look at your old belts (if you have ones that are not link belts) they will have some numbers and letters on the outside edge. You can use those to buy what you need. If you don't have them or they are too faded to make out then look at the manual for your machine. Then buy from mcmaster carr
wdwerker
I got a set of matched belts for my UniSaw from " The Saw Center " and the price was fair.
wtnhighlander
I recommend using rubber v-belts rather than the kevlar type, especially with smaller pulleys. The rubber is more flexible, and doesn't tend to shred itself trying to make those tight bends. As long as you can supply the correct length and width, and industrial supplier like Mcmaster Carr or maybe Grainger is usually cheaper than OEM or woodworking specialty supplier. Mzdadoc
I use only link belts and I've been very happy. I can make any size I want/need.
mikem
I have replaced my belts with link belts as I have gone. However, I have been told that just about any automotive store will likely have the belts you need.
estesbubba
When I had my Jet contractor saw I got a cogged belt from an auto parts store. When I put that on a lot less vibration.

nod
Thanks all. As soon as I can get the belts of the machines and measured, I'll be on the hunt!
