grizzley 555

I know quite a few people run this band saw and have heard that it doesn't actually accommodate a 3/4" resaw blade well. Someone told me 1/2" is really the biggest it will go. For the owners, what size and brand blades have you found the saw to like? I'm looking to get a blade for resawing hardwood and a general purpose blade for every day cuts and gentle curves.

Thanks.

Actually, all I have ever resawed with is a 1/4" blade.  I don't have a rise block, but have resawed up to the max 6" without issue.  If you have a riser block I do recommend getting a 1/2" blade.

The blade on my G0555P is a Timberwolf 6TPI 1/4" blade.
