Chestnut
Been using my PM1000 and i don't know how i lived life with out a good table saw. My question is the locking knobs on the height adjustment and angle adjustment, when i adjust them am i supposed to loosen them before making the adjustment and then tighten them or can i leave them in a partially tightened state and just have dampened adjustments? The manual doesn't really answer my question so I'm kinda wondering how people use their saws.
Tpt life
I have always loosened, adjusted, the tightened. It may just be picky OCD, but that's what I always do.
Just Bob
I always tighten mine after making an adjustment. Don't know if it is a "rule" it is just what I do.
wdwerker
If I am making a lot of cuts at a certain height I tighten the lock. If changing it frequently I leave it partially loosened ( so yes that works too) Angle knob is always locked at whatever setting is needed.
Tom King
I should lube mine more often, but it stays pretty good where I leave it. If I'm doing something precise I probably remember to tighten. Also keep the angle knob tightened always.

Tom Cancelleri
I only tighten mine on the blade angle unless I'm doing dados and need to lock in that height. I keep the knob snug but not tight.
