Popular Post Gixxerjoe04
So I figured I'd show what I usually sell at craft shows around here, since I make a bunch of different stuff I usually do pretty well I think. Instead of regular cutting boards, I make bread boards/serving trays, so basically just a skinny longer cutting board but using face grain. Either cut a handle out or put some cabinet handles on them and drill out a hole for a stainless steel cup for butter/oil/sauce, I also make the bow bread knives to go along with them. Use some nice looking wood or glue up some good looking stuff, usually none are wider than my jointer, easy as pie to make. Also make magnetic bottle openers, they stick to your fridge and catch all your beer caps, they're pretty handy to have. Also turn pens and bowls which can be popular if the right crowd is there, have turned wine bottle stoppers but those don't sell well for some reason. My one real random item that always has people stopping instead of walking on are my wooden bow ties. I make some from different exotic or figured woods but most of them are made from bourbon barrels, with bow ties and bourbon being the craze these days, they sell pretty well. Most of my stuff doesn't cost a lot to make, just time and some materials, but easy to batch out, believe the most expensive thing to make are the bottle openers because big rare earth magnets aren't cheap.

Gixxerjoe04
Thanks everyone, it's nice making and selling small easy stuff, but I will feel more accomplished making bigger stuff, even if I don't sell it haha. Shane, people actually wear them, they're adjustable and have a little clip so you don't have to worry about knowing how to tie a bow tie. Of course I've never worn one or any bow tie before, doesn't mean I can't sell them haha, they're quite the conversation starter.

I'd wear one of these just to reinforce how crazy my friends think i am.
