Alaska Trip

Been a little quiet on the form lately because we went to AK for 15 days earlier this month and have been trying to catch up ever since. Thought you folks might enjoy some pics its a beautiful place for sure. We started in Fairbanks with the trans Alaska pipeline then took the train to Denali, Telkeetna, and ended in Anchorage. From there we took a bus to Seward where we boarded the ship and sailed to Juneau, Skagway, Icy Straight Point, and Ketchikan before disembarking and spending our last day in Vancouver BC.

We did the Alaskan cruise a couple of years ago. Beautiful country and a very welcome respite from the Texas summer.

Man these pictures bring me back. I worked commercial fishing on the Aleutian peninsula as a young man. 

First season, first time off the boat in a month and i proceeded to get my feet stuck in serious mud that acts like quicksand - in true greenhorn fashion. I got crap about that for years.

Great pictures and it definitely looked like a nice trip.  For our twenty-fifth anniversary we spent a couple of weeks in Juneau, Skagway with a side trip to White Horse Canada and then to Sitka.  It is some really beautiful country up there.
