mds2
First off, thanks to Marc for the design and the videos! I made this stool for my new nephew Isaac. I am home recovering from back surgery and spent some time standing in front of the bandsaw instead of shuffling around the house. It's made from a walnut tree that I cut down, had cut into lumber, and dried behind my house in a kiln. It was a lot of fun to make. Sorry for the lack of pictures. http://www.imgur.com/gallery/Lm2ueUVhttp://i.imgur.com/VnAbSoD.jpg
wdwerker
Looks pretty sharp. I gave away a tablesaw just like yours. I hadn't used it in 20 years so I gave it to my stepfather.
wtnhighlander
Nice work, and beautiful wood! Is that a danish oil finish?
mds2
Nice work, and beautiful wood! Is that a danish oil finish? No, it's a few coats of BLO With poly on the top. It really does look like Danish oil though. Actually I don't think those pics are with the poly on. I got this done literally "just in time". My brother came from out fof town to show us the baby and I was waiting for the finish to dry when they showed up. That is why I don't have more pics. We carefully packed it in their car when they left.

Funny, I got that saw from my friend's stepfather, because he hadn't used it in twenty years.
SawDustB
Looks good! I'm curious, how big is the finished stool?
Coop
Good job on the bench. That was a lot of wood removal. I made one similar to yours and used every tool I had get it to it's shape.
mds2
Looks good! I'm curious, how big is the finished stool? Approximately 16" long, 10.5" tall and 7" wide. A little shorter than the one Marc made.

Barry Gilbert
I like the finish and the way there are no corners. Cuts down on those trips to the Dr. Very NICE!
