I just signed up to post on the forum.  Friends and family call me Drew...............so can all of you.  I've been working wood for about 25 years.  During that time, I've worked exclusively out of a garage shop.  That shop has moved from one state to another over the course of my life................being an active duty Air Force guy will do that!  I retired from the Air Force in 2010 after 18 years active and reserve.  I still work a "day job" but my nights and weekends belong to wood...er....and the love of my life, which isn't wood...........her name is Deb and well...............I DO love wood............you folks know what I mean. LOL!

I became hooked on woodworking some 25 years ago while I was living in Oklahoma City.  I repaired a picnic table then saw an episode of The New Yankee Workshop.  Its been a journey from that to what I do now which is make antique reproduction pieces.  I am entirely self taught. I recently started gravitating toward more of a hybrid shop.  I found myself really enjoying hand tools and using them in many aspects of a project just takes a lot less set up time than it does for jigs and fixtures on machines.  I am happy to be here and look forward to talking with you and learning from you.
