wouldwurker
Nice! You can really tell in that photo the attention to detail you exhibited insofar as matching the grain all the way around the mitres. Coop
I really like the beveled edge around the ebony panel ! It's looking real sharp .Mel, Is it actually beveled or is the illusion that the grain gives it?
Llama
Mel, Is it actually beveled or is the illusion that the grain gives it? The lid is beveled inside and out. The box is beveled on the outside edges. With the vertical edges (miters) left sharp.
Llama
Making headway! Got the ebony dividers fitted tonight. Also bought the hinges today. This ones gonna be killer! Everything's still rough sanded with a few minor touch ups left for tomorrow. Should be applying finish tomorrow night.

tim0625
"Eb-bony and Pa-dauuuuk live together in perfect har-mony......" Ok...doesn't sing the best but the box is stellar! Bright brass hinges? orrrrr.....black!?!?!?

Llama
Thanks The hinges I chose for the box are called "oil-bronze finish". Dark, but not black. Here's a pic of one placement option.
wouldwurker
Love oil-rubbed bronze - and it matches beautifully. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
