I thought I was the one that liked to argue! I should start a poll about flour vs corn tortillas. Make sure one of the options has to do with how dry the tortillas have to be before it's eaten.

Didn't mean to start a big debate. If you have the time and space it's certainly not going to hurt to sticker your lumber so best not to take any chances. You wern't going to reply, yet you had to get in a last word or two....... Under any damn circumstances it's better to sticker the wood than not. Period!!!!!

freedhardwoods
Lumber stored in a barn can be dry and ready to use, or so damp it has mold growing on it. It depends whether it was stored in the loft near the roof which is the same environment as a solar kiln, or in an inner, lower room with a dirt floor which could be so damp that condensation could be dripping off everything I wouldn't use it, and would sticker it, until you know the actual mc. The mc will tell you whether it actually needs stickered or not.
Tpt life
I want to go on record. I called out stain as a primary reason to sticker long before the forestry doc was abused here. Thanks Kev for pulling that out. Common sense wins. Moisture content doesn't matter if a board can grow mold.

BeautysBeast
Im sticking with the notion that he should let me just come and get it. Then he doesn't have to worry about sticker, v. Non sticker, or how to stack it. I will eliminate ALL the hassle. See what a great facilitator I am?
Brendon_t
Don't get me wrong, I do secretly enjoy getting Eric riled up but that was a whole bunch of nonsense.
