Popular Post Knox wood
Hey y'all, so I recently discovered that traditional wedding gifts at the 5 year mark are made of wood, in some form or fashion. So, I decided to make my wife a gift. I came up with idea/design on my own, and with exception of a jigsaw for the shape of heart, it was all hand tools. The heart is redwood, the base is hobby board red oak.. and the arrow is just cheap dowel rod all purchased at HD. Well, I did use a drill to get 2 holes in heart... I just finished it with a beeswax orange blossom combo thing I found beside the minwax stuff... the wood burner I've had for a few years, but this is first time I've ever "really" used it... let me know what y'all think!! Thanks! CHEERS

Well she did love it, but our actual anniversary is in June, but I'm in the navy and will be away on assignment when that comes round so had to give it to her in person. She herself is not a woodworker, however, she did "design" a mini pergola for our herb garden which was good enough for me!! Any excuse to keep building and learning g I'll take 2 hours ago, C Shaffer said: If she likes it, who are we to disagree? Congrats for five years!!! AlexFox97
BTW, hope to congratulate you on your 10th anniversary now! You can make her something from tin or aluminum.
FrankWhite
You made a beautiful gift; I bet your wife was happy. BTW, hope to congratulate you on your 10th anniversary now! You can make her something from tin or aluminum. The gifts for the decade-long anniversary are usually made from these materials to symbolize the resilience and strength of your marriage. But if you didn't know that, I'm sure she'll be thrilled to have a delicious basket with wine and gourmet bites from jetgiftbaskets.com. I forgot about my wedding anniversary last year (my bad) and ordered this basket for my wife as a last-minute gift. She was delighted with it, to say the least. gee-dub
Nicely done. I also took advantage of the 5 year being celebrated by wood. It's been a while though ;-)
