Martin-IT
Hi, a local sawmill got stucked with an order for air dried cherry that the client pulled out. I took a look, some clear board, some with a few knots, all board are 4/4. What would you pay for it per bf ? The local hardwood dealer, sell 4/4 Cherry common for 3.5$. wtnhighlander
Wood pricing is very regional, as supply and demand are different in different locations. I recently purchased 8/4 FAS cherry for about $3.75 per bf.
RichardA
I bought 150 bf of air dried from Spanky for $1.25 bf. It's about to be ready to use when I get out of my jail AKA: House. Mine was all 4/4.
Coop
I bought 8/4 for $5.23 bf and thought I got a helluva deal. Like Ross said, it’s regional.
Chestnut
For craig's list cherry i wouldn't pay over $2 if it was graded. If it's mill run i'd consider it worth less but that's just because I'll have more waste.

I just got a quote from BellForest for 100bf of cherry and it was $543. I think I'd go as high as $3/bf for cherry if I got to look at it first. I can get it around here kiln dried for $6.00/bf, and from Bell Forest for even better - and their stuff is amazing. I got some tiger maple, african mahogany and curly cherry from them a few years ago and it's still dead flat, unlike the stuff I get from my local sources. You'll have to work a lil harder than that..
