As far as the 'color change' goes, the waterlox does a great job of imparting some additional warm glow over the watco. But, what you are seeing is almost all lighting difference. Coop Posted November 20, 2021 Report Share Posted November 20, 2021 The end grain of most woods will be darker, when the finish is applied, than the face grain. Some more of a contrast than others.
