Popular Post wtnhighlander
I'd like to try some kumiko, although the process seems a bit tedious. I ran across this in my research. Worth a watch, if only to admire the artistry.

My thoughts exactly. I enjoy the patterns that can be designed and the ways you can use the panels in other projects. I have watch some video of Matt Kenney using jigs to cut up a bazillion little pieces that are needed and then paring them to size. I would think you would find the process tedious or cathartic not much in between.
wtnhighlander
One thing I was glad to see in the video, those guys have developed several tools and jigs to gang-cut large numbers of parts very quickly. Probably worth the effort to emulate, if you want to make anything bigger than, say, a lantern.

Popular Post Coop
I would either OD on caffeine or die from cancer from smoking 6 cigars a day before my 50th birthday if I were to attempt that! 1
Dave H
I would love to see the bid sheet for that commission, you would need a fat wallet to own that screen!
Ronn W
I have done a little Kumiko. It's quiet afternoon and it can really add a lot to a project.
