Popular Post fcschoenthal Posted January 16 Popular Post Report Posted January 16 Having been retired for a while, my wardrobe is quite a bit different that it used to be. I now gravitate toward t-shirts and my wife has given me some with cute phrases ("It's not easy being my wife's eye candy" or "Never underestimate an old man with a BMW") or woodworking related. I found a new source for woodworking related tees for those interested, Sawdust Style. I haven't bought anything from them yet, so can't comment on the quality. Here's one example that I like. 3 Quote

Popular Post gee-dub Posted January 23 Popular Post Report Posted January 23 Hilarious shirts. Thanks for the source. My daughter bought me a version of "If Pa-Pa can't fix it, we're all screwed" after my second grandchild was born. I wear it proudly. 4 Quote

I have the same shirt (but with my last name) that I wear all of the time. My wife thought I needed a shop apron with it on there, but I couldn't tell her that I hate the way it's laid out and made. I also have about 3 other aprons that I have hanging up, never used anymore, since I found one that served me better. I'll probably only use it when I know that she's gong to be coming out to the shop. 4 Quote

Aprons are stupid-personal things. I have a few and end up using a small Husky waist apron more than anything. It is always warm out here and often very hot. A full bib apron just cooked me so I seem to have devolved to the waist apron 2 Quote
Popular Post Tom King Posted January 24 Popular Post Report Posted January 24 I like this one, just needs much longer lines of tools: 3 2 Quote

That's a great idea! Only problem is that it would have to be in the house. There isn't a place in the shop that doesn't get dirty and I don't have the time to build a shadowbox. I wonder if it would work for some of the other "gems" that she's bought? 2 Quote

We need a "Build a Bear" for shop aprons, where they list a bunch of features and you pick and position the ones you want and they make you a custom apron. I have a few friends that sew, and when I've complained about finding an apron I like they kinda mention the idea of doing something custom. Not exactly volunteering, just bringing up the possibility. 4 Quote

Oh, there are companies that do just that. Dragonfly is one of them. They have multiple video consultations, where you wear their template, and put your tools where you want them. Of course, these start at $760. 2 2 Quote
dwilliam Posted February 20 Report Posted February 20 Retirement definitely calls for comfortable tees with personality. Those phrases sound fun, especially the woodworking ones. Thanks for sharing Sawdust Style, always great discovering new niche sources. That example sounds right up a woodworker’s alley! 1 Quote
