johnbinva
It's been cold everywhere. My kerosene heater for my garage power tool shop area broke over the winter so no good shop time since November. I picked up my first slab at Local Wood in Berryville, Va . Its about 5' by 15" wide. Hand planed and squared up the ends. Couple of cracks filled with ca glue. BLO first then shellac then a few coats of wipe on poly. Legs came from Hairpin Legs for Less. I'd like to make my own. I used to have a bender when I had a welder - maybe I'll get one again. Crappy pictues - Cheers! John B in Va
wouldwurker
Good looking slab, John -and welcome. Good execution of metal and wood. Assuming the legs are bolted/screwed in, did you slot screw the legs to account for seasonal movement? Different technique?

Jerry_in_SD
Wow! Nice. Someday I need to try a live edge project. I like the metal base. Brings focus to the beauty of the top.
Byrdie
Hard to screw up a slab that looks as nice as that one. Very well done!
