Gixxerjoe04
Was literally about to start a thread about that. Wonder why the cheap price compared to everything else, and wonder how good of a sander it is. It does say you get a $50 voucher towards your next festool purchase, wonder if that's towards just tools or accessories.

Tom Crawford
That is a re-seller site not the Festool site. Festool used to not allow discounting of their products to authorized re-sellers. Wonder if that policy has changed. Oops, just went to Festool's site - it is at that price there too. Cochese
I shouldn't buy this because I'd have to buy 5" paper, but yet it tempts me.
Ryan.
Would this be a major upgrade over other 5" RO sanders? Tempted by the email, but want to make sure it is worth the cost of the sander plus the Festool paper.

It is a really good price tho.
Cliff
I bought. The $50 thing is the only reason I need. I'm sure I will buy at least one festool before 12/31/2017 so that will come in handy.
Cochese
The voucher is only good toward tools, unfortunately. But, it is good until the end of next year. I bit. Too good of a deal, and it does come with a bit more paper than we've gotten recently.
Chestnut
This price seems fishy what's the catch?

Immortan D
Does it come with a bag? For dust collection I mean.

So sell it for $90 and make $40 I'm not sure if I need it, but I will try it out. Then use my $50 towards a domino or something.
Popular Post JosephThomas
Oh sweet, the special blue systainer will match well with my nice makita systainer, you know the one that @shaneymack loves. I noticed down in the 'questions' section of that page someone was asking about the 'hard' pad, and whether one will connect to this special $99 sander...I am confused, are they saying the $99 one is will accept a hard pad, or not? I think it's useless if not...just my opinion though.

Pretty significant price jump between the 5 and the 6. I have them both and use them both. If I could have only one then, yes, it would be the 6 but, there's nothing wrong with the 5.

Cochese
If you're focused on how small it is and not what the end result is, you'll always have a hard time.

Cliff
Not so bad to get the sandpaper. Place near me sells 10 packs. And I haven't gone through a 10 pack yet with the 6 inch
JosephThomas
Except that it's too small. I prefer the smaller size for certain things. Why does this same argument not apply to the domino? I've heard you say the exact opposite for that... Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
Cochese
Comes with 2 80, 2 120, 2 150, 2 180 and 2 220 Granat.

I've heard you say the exact opposite for that... Because you hardly ever need a Domzilla, but it almost always makes sense to use a bigger sander. Name a time when a 5" sander would be better. I can't think of one. Neither can get into corners. One is just much faster than the other.
