freedhardwoods Posted October 13, 2019 Report Posted October 13, 2019 This happened a couple miles away. I don't know how it started, but there isn't much left. It was hooked to a grain cart when it started. 2 Quote
wtnhighlander Posted October 14, 2019 Report Posted October 14, 2019 Hot engine over dry grass, and a little fuel leak. Came real close to that once, myself. Diesel burns HOT, once it gets started! Quote
Tom King Posted October 14, 2019 Report Posted October 14, 2019 I"m pressure washing my tractors tomorrow! They are all old, like I am, and leak some, so they're pretty greasy. Hydraulic fluid makes a Strong fire too. Quote

Ron Hampe Posted March 21, 2024 Report Posted March 21, 2024 That's so sad. I think that nowadays it is so hard to find good tractors. I started doing some acres and can't find reliable tractors. Have you found yourself in such a situation? Quote
comp56 Posted March 22, 2024 Report Posted March 22, 2024 I had a similar experience with my old Kubota tractor. After working with it for over 10 years, it caught fire while I was using it on my farm. It was a shocking and sudden incident, and like you said, there wasn’t much left of it afterward. Due to this, I decided it was time for a new tractor. I went with a new KUBOTA SCL1000 from Wickham Tractor. This new model has been fantastic, with improved safety features and efficiency, making my farming tasks much easier and safer. Quote
