I gotta get a new 220 plug and locate belts and a few discs for the sander. I may talk to the old shop and get there old 60"  sanding belts and make the discs...

Try and locate a topper for it as well...it doesn't have the dust collection port so I'll have to work on that too..

Not familiar with that brand but use to using an edge sander. The belt may work or last long on this sander. How's this brand compare to Klingspor or VSM?

I never heard of those 2. My first purchase I bought a box of 10. The splice rotted after a very long time. The belts load up if you try to remove varnish. Stay with raw wood and you will be amazed how long it lasts. I believe woodworkers, a catalog tool company, is the manufacturer of the belts.

Put a new plug on the sander today and runs fine. Looking for a top but will probably make one. I will probably give the Harbor Freight 6x48 belt a try. Less than $4 it might be ok.... seems like the 12"  discs are a bit expensive...

Cleaning the sander is a bit of a task. May try mineral spirits...
