BillyJack
My daughter brought me a bunch of 8/4 maple for her new end tables and eventually will make the dresser. Looking at her diy design and my need to get rid of much lumber, I may duplicate her design except using walnut and Sapele. only thing I would probably do different is use M&T and maybe put a floating top on. Im thinking this on the spur of the moment. Any suggestions?

wtnhighlander
@BillyJack, does the open top area of the dresser you pictured have a specific purpose? Nice looking piece, for sure.
Ronn W
I would use a vacuum bag and PVA or liquid hide glue. I don't know any other way (except hammer veneering with hot hide glue).

legenddc
I think the open section is cool it's an end table or night stand. Great place to put books, tablets, phones, chargers, remotes, etc. while keeping the top empty.

Nice looking piece, for sure. It’s just two levels to set things on. The design ai guess. My daughter seen this on internet for like $700 each. My daughter seen these and a comment of how much you could save , if you made them yourself . So she sold her bedroom set, bought a fabric type bed and will use maple end table ps and dresser.. 1

This was my experience as well. Sorry, I meant to comment when you were asking about it. In my case it just didn't spray well; lots of globs; therefor, lots of heavy rolling.
