fcschoenthal Posted November 27 Report Posted November 27 Beautiful boxes and I'm sure they'll love them, especially when made by you. On another note..I guess I'm old and don't see the value of having a bunch of watches. I wear the same one for years until it breaks. The last 5 years or so, I've worn a Samsung smart watch that I've upgraded a couple of times because of new features. I only take it off to shower and charge it. A watch box would be wasted on me. BTW..GET OFF MY LAWN! 1 Quote
Popular Post treeslayer Posted November 27 Author Popular Post Report Posted November 27 I haven’t worn one since I retired 22 years ago but I guess it’s a thing with some people 3 1 Quote
Popular Post gee-dub Posted November 27 Popular Post Report Posted November 27 Great watch display box. Watches are definitely a thing for some people; they spend silly money on them. Of course I spend silly money on tools . This is the one I wore for nearly 40 years as a nerd-for-hire. It has had several bands but the watch itself has never failed. It was kind of a subtle thumb your nose at the necktie crowd . . . I have a weird sense of humor. Now-a-days I just use the clock on my phone. 5 Quote
Chet Posted November 27 Report Posted November 27 Those are some really nice boxes Dave. I could of very easily gone done the rabbit hole of collecting different watches, but I have one money pit that is my shop and another that is a model railroad. 1 Quote
wtnhighlander Posted November 27 Report Posted November 27 Beautiful work, Dave! What sort of closures did you use? 1 Quote
treeslayer Posted November 27 Author Report Posted November 27 thanks @wtnhighlander No sort of closure just some small stopped hinges on the top 1 Quote
Mark J Posted November 28 Report Posted November 28 Nice work. I like how the walnut brings out the spalt lines, and the walnut & cherry work well together, too. (Watch guy, but only one, it's atomic). 1 Quote
