Bankstick
I click on the Favorite for www.woodwhisperer.com and, so far, so good. But when I click on the their Forum button, I get shuffled back to WoodTalkOnline home page. What gives????
Tpt life
I don’t understand. Where are you finding “Favorite”? Do you know that WTO is the forum run by The Wood Whisperer?
thewoodwhisperer
I'm confused too. That's how things are supposed to work. The TWW site links to the Wood Talk Online forum. What behavior are you expecting?
Bankstick
Instead of Favorites, it's Bookmarks. I have never had this happen before. When I clicked on the Bookmark or website for The Wood Whisperer, I got the home page for TWW. Then I could go to the Forums and get TWW forums. Never went to WTO before. Confusing to me.

Sounds like you may have been using a different web browser. I believe Favorites is Internet Explorer and Bookmarks is Chrome or FF.
Immortan D
Maybe the URL has changed. Make a new bookmark and problem solved.
Bankstick
Mozilla Firefox- never had this problem before. Been using it for several years. Never used another browser.

Jfitz
On the TWW page, there are a set of links for "Store", "Guild", "Wood Talk", and "Forum". The Forum links to Woodtalkonline (this site), and Wood Talk links to Woodtalkshow (the podcast). If you're using a touchscreen device, I'm suspecting it's picking up the wrong one when you press. If you're using a conventional screen and mouse, then I don't know why you're seeing that behavior. When I click on Forum it brings me back here (to Woodtalkonline). Yeah, I had to add this button back into the toolbar to gain quick access to my bookmark folders:

Immortan D
If the OP can post a screenshot of the "TWW Forums" it could help figuring out what's going on. Only TWW forum I've ever heard about is WTO, but he maybe referring to a FB page or another section of the TWW site (guild?).
drzaius
This is a most confusing thread. To my knowledge, the forum button on the TWW site has always pointed to this, the WTO forum
Immortan D
Back in the 2007 version of the TWW page we had this: And also this: 1
Bankstick
I click on the down arrow in the URL space at the top of the page for Show History. I click on The Wood Whisperer. I click on Forum. I get Woodworking Talk Online. I don't recall getting this before or am I getting senile?

This is exactly what it's suppose to happen and it's what always has happened. Wood Talk Online (this forum) IS The Wood Whisperer's forum and you get here when you click the "Forum" link. I do not know if you're getting senile but seems like you're a bit confused.
sjeff70
Sometimes I'm blocked from this forum by my work's internet filter and then after a month or few it will allow access again. Then it will be fine for a while and then it will get blocked again. Been going on for a few years. This site is the only one that does that. This site is somehow, occasionally deemed harmful for some reason.
Bankstick
Never noticed that it went to WTO.

Even though they are kissin' kin, they are different. Thanks to all for t heir suggestions and replies to my thread.
