bgreenb
Did the forum just go to hell in a hand basket for anyone else? I got kicked from chat and now the forum looks totally different and is barely functional. I can't type replies in the reply box on chrome or I.E. (I'm typing this on my phone which seems to work a little better). WTF?
estesbubba
Clear your cache for this site and things were better for me.
mds2
Looks like it updated.
bgreenb
How do I clear cache for just this site
thewoodwhisperer
Yup. Just did an update. If you're having trouble just clear cache and it should resolve. Not sure if there are any bugs though as this does look like a significant update.
estesbubba
Interesting I replied about 5 mins ago and it didn't show. I said to clear cache Now it showed after making a 2nd post... or I'm just dumb.

bgreenb
I cleared cache and still can't reply on chrome. I try to type in the reply box and it just offers me the chance to insert a photo or file - can't actually type text
shaneymack
Seems to be working for me. Im using Chrome.
TerryMcK
Works ok on safari using the ipad and mac. Also ok with chrome on a pc. If there are any bugs you can bet your bottom dollar we'll find it
sjk
It's software - I guarantee there are bugs.
Eric.
I try to keep my whining about the updates to a bare minimum...but I can't live without the "new content" button. I see the "unread content" options but every one of them is a cluster-you-know-what.

I made a custom stream using this setting and made it default which is close to what we used to have.
Chet
Definitely be nice to get "New Content" back please
xxdabroxx
There is an unread content but it looks weird.
Beechwood Chip
Yeah, it took me a bit to configure "unread content" to match what I had in "New Content". Then, book mark the new page and get rid of my old bookmark. Now it works fine, just looks different.
bgreenb
The problem is that the new view takes up a ton of screen real estate so you see fewer threads. Especially on a mobile device. Why do devs have an incessant need to fix stuff that ain't broke?
ottacat
I strongly dislike this new update, totally ruined a nice 'New Content' view that I always used. Recommendations from others on cobbling together a view is still not something very satisfying or even the same as what was had before.
xxdabroxx
I'm in the, the new view sucks group too. But I may be known to be a complainer about forum changes. I just don't see the need for forum upgrades when there isn't an obvious issue that needs fixing. Some of my favorite forums are the oldest styles with the least features. Immortan D
I cannot believe the "new content" option is gone. Has to be hidden somewhere...
Beechwood Chip
"New Content" is now called "Unread Content", and it's pretty much in the same place. The problem is, as far as a can tell, you can't specify which forums/topics you want to see when you click "Unread Content". Instead, you have to create a "New Stream" (I named mine, "New Content"). I specified "Unread Content" and listed the forums I wanted to follow, saved it as a new stream, viewed that stream and checked that it was configured the way I wanted, and then bookmarked that URL. After all that, I'm basically back to where I was before the upgrade. I click on the bookmark, and getthe new content in the forums I follow. [edit] It's annoying that when I want to check for more articles, I need to click on Streams and select my custom stream, instead of just clicking on "New Content". xxdabroxx
Something else I just noticed is it shows the most recent post rather than the text under the topic in the unread stuff deal. I'd rather see what the OP is about rather than the most recent reply.
Immortan D
The new option lists messages not threads... where is the option for a thread list ordered by last message?
estesbubba
What used to take 1 click on iPad for new content now takes 4 clicks which is terrible user experience design. This update almost makes me want to see how crappy Tapatalk still is. The old new content link was convenient and useful.
