RichardA
Beautiful, I was in there in 1961. Then I did not understand where all our tax money went. Now I know. There is some serious woodwork in that place.
Popular Post Mark J
I dunno. You'd think they'd have something really good in there, like a @derekcohen piece.

Frank Strazza has a piece in the cabinet room in the west wing. I believe he made it for a gift for President Bush to leave in the White House when he left office. Coop
I’d really like to see D.C. but if I ever go there again, I’ll land in Richmond and take Uber! I spent 2 hours trying to get out of town one day and actually crossed the Potomac 4 times after leaving Reagan.

Gary Beasley
Love the quartersawn white oak in that floor, masterful piece of work. Wonder who did it?
Tom King
I fixed part of a floor, in a pattern similar to that once. That was the job I bought the LV Shooting Plane for, and it would have been very difficult without the shooting board. It was also nice having the shooting board down on the floor. I can't think of anything else that would have been any better for that job. They have an amazing millwork shop right there. The guys working there love their jobs. still looking for a link to it, but it's under the Architect of the Capital organization: https://www.aoc.gov/?home=y edited again: They used to call it the Carpenter Shop, but I can't find it now.
