legenddc
@Coop - You asked why I mounted the TV on the wall, here's a pic of it mounted and one with the stand in place.

Coop
So at the same height. I like the wall mount. I need to rethink mine. Thanks bud for the follow up! Very clean wire concealment indeed!
wtnhighlander
Wall mount is defintely the right choice. That looks terrific, with the TV 'floating' above it!
Chestnut
Wow that is a change. Looks awesome! That wall color really makes the cherry pop and look nice. I've been accused of liking bold colors too much though.

I held up all the samples to our cherry Shaker end table to see how it looked. There are some times of the day I don't love the color based on the light but it will do for now. Popular Post Chet
Thanks for the journal on this @legenddc, I really enjoyed it and the outcome is outstanding. We also have our TV wall mounted. One reason was to get it to the proper height for line of sight but in the end it just looks so much cleaner and no unsightly cables. No matter what they tell you as far as the quality of the speakers in a TV a sound bar always sounds better in my opinion.
Popular Post legenddc
Added some bias lighting behind the TV. It’s supposed to make the colors more vibrant and lessen the strain on your eyes. I really just wanted some light there and didn’t want a lamp on that wall.

wtnhighlander
I like that effect, especially against the smooth, solid wall color. Strip LEDs, or some specific fixture?
legenddc
Just a USB powered set that thankfully turns on and off via the USB port on the back of our TV. Supposedly TV and movie editors use monitors with 6500k bias lights so I went with that recommendation.
BonPacific
Looks nice. I put a spare spectrum bulb behind my work monitor and I'm not sure if it makes things more vibrant but it definitely reduces eye-strain when staring at a screen.
Chestnut
That looks awesome. So i want to know what are the white pieces in the potted plant? Also that's a big whistle.
legenddc
I think they're plant labels but I'm not sure why they're in that pot. That plant is my daughter's lemon tree that she really wanted. It's her first step in starting a lemonade stand. It comes inside for the winter and desperately needs a larger pot when we move it back outside.
