It is made from butternut and walnut. Surfaces are sanded to p1200 and finished with Osmo Polyx-Oil (satin). No, I didn't. I'm just guesstimating, but time at the lathe, or other shop work, is say 2 to 4 hours a day, 4 or 5 days a week. So maybe 150-ish hours. Chestnut Posted March 13, 2022 Report Share Posted March 13, 2022 I don't know what you call it but the detail where the "segments that aren't segments" of the base connect to make them look like segmentes from the out side by whole from the inside is awesome. This piece is great. That detail and many other subtle details just add so much to a seemingly simple piece. Excellent work.
