Doll House

When my wife was 9 years old, her family lived on Okinawa as her father was stationed there. One evening he gave her this oriental doll. He died a couple of months later. She has been kept in a bread bag, in the back of a closet for years. I decided she deserved better (my wife and the doll) so a project was born.  When she came home today it was mounted on the wall as a surprise.

I made a shelf out of walnut and what I think is wormy chestnut (years ago a friend gave me some rough cut lumber but I didn't ask what it was and he's dead now). The display case is quarter sawn oak and Purple Heart. Here are a few photos.
