You focus on getting that keyboard repaired and I'll hit you up next year. 15 minutes ago, midtnwoodworker said: Thanks Eric! Are you pretty close to your commitment yet? What is the cutoff for donations? I met and exceeded my commitment last night...but don't tell anyone. Whatever additional funds get donated goes to help defray the cost of commitments for other riders on my team who don't have such awesome woodworker buddies. It all goes to the cause. We're having a fundraiser tonight at Beth and Curt's house. Anheuser Busch donated the beer, Papa John's donated the pizza, Dairy Queen donated the ice cream cake, and lots of other donations. We're also having a cornhole tournament (for those of you weirdos who call it bags, here...https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cornhole) 50/50 raffle, and other raffles with prizes like Cardinals tickets and hotel stays, etc. They put a ton of work into this thing. Should be fun!
Coop
Eric, After watching the vireo, I can see why you guys hang with this couple! I'm in, knowing I'm helping Beth, Rick's wife and countless others.

It's no big deal, I was just messin' around man. A little levity can be a good thing even amidst serious issues. No need to get too heavy in this thread. All good, carry on! JosephThomas
Good job Eric, this is a good charity/event. I have participated before and am supporting a team through my company. Hoping to ride again next year when my knee is fully healed. +1 for everyone supporting a good cause.
Guest
Most folks around chicago call it bags, I think. I can't say cornhole with a straight face, my mind wanders directly to "i am the great cornholio, I need TP for my bunghole" Its a popular game but I don't play it much, mostly because I suck at any activity where a score is kept. Eric.
It's a mix in St. Louis, some call it bags and some call it cornhole. I call it bags in mixed company just because I don't wanna get the looks and explain everything...but cornhole is much more fun to say. The wife and I got knocked out of the tournament in the first bracket. I'm a fairly decent cornholer but too many beers too early, an unfamiliar cornhole set, and a pair of bots for opponents made for early elimination. I just drank more. It was a good time and I believe around 6k was raised. Thanks to you guys that total is closer to 7k. Y'all are amazing. Thanks again everybody. (And just for the record, you can still make donations up to and including September 24th...just follow the link in the first post of this thread.) Chet
Yea Eric, I was just looking at the total on you link. What a compassionate, generous bunch this place turned out to be.
Eric.
I don't recognize the name "pridmore," but I want to thank you for your very generous donation. I can only repeat what Chet just said...awesome.
Popular Post Tom King
I'm in, but didn't want my name on any list. My Wife had early stage breast cancer eleven years ago. I didn't realize that there were over 90 kinds of breast cancers, with an amazing range of growth rates. Pam's was the second slowest growing kind. Hers would only double in size every 10 months. Some of the bad ones, usually in younger women, are amazingly fast growing. Pam had a needle biopsy that didn't show anything. One of our dogs had pointed it out, and wouldn't leave it alone. We told the doctors that we wanted a full body scan done. They said it wasn't needed. We said we'd pay for it. They found it like a little leaf wrapping around the back side of a small cyst that the needle didn't get to. She's been cancer free for eleven years now. Best of luck to your friend.
Llama
Figured I'd send in another couple bucks... I can't imagine what they are going through. I can't watch the video and not send money... So, I'm not watching the damn video again!

Popular Post Tom King
Here's a picture of my Wife winning a Group Four in a 3,500 dog show with one of our stud dogs, while doing chemo. They know so much more about it these days, and getting better. The recent finds by Duke about it hiding in bone marrow I believe will make a Big difference.
