Eric.
Bump to say two weeks left before the ride and donations are still being taken. Final stretch begging has begun! And just wanted to say again...$1500...wow...y'all have so exceeded my expectations and blown my mind with your generosity. Thank you so much to each and every one of you who have donated to this cause on my behalf.

Popular Post Eric.
So today was the big ride. I just wanted to prove that I did actually finish it like I was supposed to and thank everyone who donated one more time. It blew Beth and Curt's minds that little ol' me could raise $1500 from a forum of my woodworking buddies. One tiny little corner of the universe that came through in a major way for a great cause. Y'all are a hell of a group, and I can't tell you how grateful I am. Thanks so much for your generosity. Expect me to be a repeat beggar in the years ahead...this is an annual event in St. Louis. We did 48 miles in just under 3 hours. We weren't really hauling ass (it's a ride, not a race) but I was still whooped by the end of it. Those century riders are beasts. I plan to get there eventually.

Centuries will suddenly easy There are plenty of hills in the area but the organizers had mercy on the riders because it was intended to be more about fun than performance. There was one fairly tough hill about 2/3 in but yeah otherwise it was a very easy ride. 1 hour ago, -MattK- said: most importantly, no pictures of @Eric. in spandex! I can arrange that if you beg! croessler
Eric, I wish I had seen this before tonight. Please ask again before your next ride; hopefully I will be in a position to help. To all you folks dealing with cancer in one way or another.... Our prayers are with you!
Popular Post ghost
it is a weird thing to search the 'net for woodworking stuff, and find a site as good as this one, and all the upstanding people that visit this site. and then find out that someone is doing a fund-raiser for cancer in the place a loved one has just been diagnosed as terminal.., and for the same institutions that same person is visiting for care. strange stuff!!. and then have a bunch of strangers climb on board. and pledge a substantial sum of $$ to something that doesn't directly help them. i, personally would like to thank all that have donated, it is something that my family is a direct recipient of. and, Thank you, Eric for your sacrifice, - effort - whatever you want to call it! thank you again! i would emplore all of you to donate to "something" for "something", it doesn't have to be big $$. every $ counts.
