Brendon_t
I looked at them but don't need any 40's if they were 24's, it would have been a good deal
copythat
I bought four pair. I plan to cut two down to 24".
wdwerker
Drilling the hole is not easy. Very tough steel.
Chet
Why cut them down? Better to have clamps that are a little to long then a little to short. I never thought I would need 40 inch clamps, then had to buy 4 for a current project and wish I had twice that now.
copythat
Chet, just because I will now have so many 40" clamps. I have a few 24's and use them a lot for small box making. I could stand to have two more.
..Kev
A 40" always works for anything 40" and smaller. A 24" never works for anything bigger
Brendon_t
I've got enough 40-50" clamps. 80% of my clamoping needs are 24 and below.
Coop
A lot of times, those with less, thinks that's enough, and that's understandable!
copythat
It's like making a jig. It works for me but may not be for you. That's ok because each of us is unique.

copythat
Next time, I'll post the Hot Buy in the Marketplace. I'm new to these forums and didn't notice that specific forum in my mad dash to get the good news out to the members. I just saw Hand Tool Village and thought it was appropriate. Then again, I would imagine that if I had posted it in the Marketplace there would have been at least one person who would complain that it wasn't in Hand Tool Village. Just can't win sometimes.

Alan G
I had ordered 2 sets at the discounted price. Just got email from Amazon that they were canceling my order. Reason they give: Technical Problem
copythat
I just got the following notice from Amazon re. my order of four sets of clamps: "We're writing to inform you that your order has been canceled. We're sorry for the inconvenience this has caused. In most cases, you pay for items when we ship them to you, so you won't be charged for items that are canceled." I called Amazon and they were zero help!
bleedinblue
Doh. Typo? They must have priced it there by mistake and found it before shipment.
