Tpt life
I take the light to the work, and have both battery lights, and corded spring clamp lights.

wtnhighlander
I have several cheap spring-clamp reflectors with LED bulbs. Not fancy, but effective.

Didn’t know if there was something new that would direct the glare more onto the surface than into the face. I have not tried a led bulb yet. Maybe something that I can develop to supplement my retirement!
Popular Post gee-dub
I accidentally got onto the Ridgid train may years ago. With the LSA it makes no sense to switch or mix so I got this. I use it hand held or setting on the bench without the stand. It has been the best solution so far after 20 years of using such things.
Tom King
I have quite a number of different lights, but this is my most used one. https://www.amazon.com/Makita-DML812-Lithium-Ion-Flashlight-Spotlight/dp/B085VTRG7L/ref=asc_df_B085VTRG7L/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=416791939662&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=4566213913338389997&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9009793&hvtargid=pla-914556793191&psc=1&tag=&ref=&adgrpid=90730998701&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvadid=416791939662&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=4566213913338389997&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9009793&hvtargid=pla-914556793191
Popular Post Tom King
For sharpening saws, I like a single head LED worklight that can be moved from one side to the other to reflect light off a tooth so you can quickly see which one has been hit with the file. Makes it obvious which one is next. Saw was moved in this picture to show light reflecting off freshly sharpened teeth.
Tom King
When finishing sheetrock, a clamp light is on the hawk, and held directly against the wall as I spread mud. Cord is held in the hand holding the hawk handle. Very similar setup for body filler doing auto body work.
Askland09
https://www.homedepot.com/p/PowerSmith-Voyager-8000-Lumen-Collapsible-Cordless-Tripod-LED-Work-Light-w-Battery-Charger-Bag-and-remote-Optional-3-Way-Power-PVLR8000A/317429673 This is one very similar to mine. Helps with a larger pieces that are in the finishing room because I can just use a 20V from a drill if need be.
Tom King
I like that one a lot, and that you can get adapters to use batteries you already have. And you can get if about 50 bucks less without the remote, and carrying case. https://www.homedepot.com/p/PowerSmith-Voyager-8000-Lumen-Collapsible-Cordless-Tripod-LED-Work-Light-BARE-Light-AC-DC-Adaptor-or-Battery-Needed-to-Use-Light-PVLR8000A-C/317458346
legenddc
We bought these to use for taking pictures but I don't see why they wouldn't work for a raking light besides I wouldn't want to get them dusty.
Tom King
I have some of those for puppy pictures, but think they're too diffuse for raking light. A raking light needs to make the slightest spec cast a shadow.
Chestnut
Festool syslite Kal II. Because i already have the 18V batteries. Alternatively it's one of the few tool lights that also has an internal battery so you don't have to use it with your tool battery. The odd shape and various angles on the light are quire useful. it also sports a tripod mount and hook, and a gigantic price tag (it was considerably lower when i bought mine). Doing it again I might be enticed by this https://www.acmetools.com/m12-rover-service-repair-flood-light-w--usb-charging-2367-20/045242592241.html But the internal battery of the Kal has some good value that has to be considered.

Mark J
The more like a point source the better the light.
