estesbubba
That's awesome! Good insulation pays off! Last 2 mornings the temperature has been below zero and the shop has been 41 without any heat! No complaints about the insulation so far!

..Kev
Oh yeah! It will be interesting to see what it's like in there in the summer. My shop stays considerably cooler than outside but, you have way more windows that I do..
Coop
Let's see...shop is 40 deg. above ambient temp, so summer time and it's 90 deg. so shop temp will be.... oh crap it's gonna be hot in there !
davestanton
A diff of maybe 10 f. I would be curious to know if the below zero is just below or considerably. Any figures? 0 C outside is usually around 5 to 7 C inside my shop without heating. Somewhat harder to increase temp than reduce. Without air conditioning, my Shop can be 23 C, that is 15 Celsius below external temp of 38 C in summer.

This morning it was 18F outside and 48F inside the shop. I just checked and the concrete floor is 53F which I'm guessing is supplying some heat at night. Don't know for sure, but as long as it stays 40+ at night, that means my heater isn't kicking on which makes me happy!
..Kev
Insulation is such a huge factor! It's 24F where I am and my shop is at 48F with no heat on. Although I just turned the heat on so I can play a little You will also notice it keeps your shop cooler in the summer too Mike.

estesbubba
So empty! We need to send you some scraps and half finished projects to make that shop look lived in ! Believe me I've spent plenty of time in there and behind that last pic is a disaster! First projects are outfeed table and crosscut sled for table saw. estesbubba
That's so awesome Mike! I wish you nothing but pure enjoyment and personal success out of your new shop! Thanks man! It's been tough at times keeping focused on all the construction work while seeing all kinds of awesome projects on this site. People cranking out ice cream scoops as fast as I'm cranking out 2x4's. To me, construction work == work But woodworking == relaxing Now that the shop is done it's time to relax!

tim0625
Wow....It's beautiful Mike...so open...yup gotta get a project going. Needed is a lumber rack, a trash can, and somewhere to put the off-cuts. Then it's officially launched. You're not going to break a bottle of champagne over the Stop Saw are you?
