AstroDave
Serves me right... Bench was to arrive on Saturday...the trucking company was a no show. I guess "free-shipping" has a cost after all. Blasphemer Bench should arrive Wednesday.

Well now you know what to put on the sign you can use your CNC to make.
Popular Post AstroDave
Bench has arrived.... They wanted to leave it at the curb...they kindly brought it to my garage... Of course then I had to get in downstairs to my shop... here it lays on the floor of my basement... all 300+ lbs of it... Here are the cabinet components laid out... I will get pics of the rest of pieces added tomorrow...but here is the artist rendering of the last touch to be added after completion.
RichardA
You don't give yourself enough credit...... While "they" are building their bench's your working and making signs.
Chet
Don't sell yourself short. The guys that made their benches probably enjoyed the journey. But others just purchase the shop accessories and get on with other things. Just another case of ending up at the same through different paths.
..Kev
Yep.. You'll be up and running before those of us building for sure! Nothing wrong with that! Different path on the same journey!

AstroDave
Thanks Guys... not being negative just poking fun at myself. Would have started building tonight but had a Christmas play to attend. Also I need to find a friend or enemy to help me lift the bench top on to the legs...as I am sure I can't do it alone. I think the top alone it a couple hundred pounds. Total weight after assembly with cabinet is about 350.

Popular Post AstroDave
Almost done... got a late start due to work. Make sure hardware is all there... go flight.. . Get the bench base assembled...that was easy...crap did I buy and Ikea bench!!! Get the drawer box and drawers assembled... Slide the drawer box into the bench base...Still need to secure the box to the base...drawer pulls and get the bench top hoisted up on the base... I just realized that the top just sit on the base registered on the two large dowels... No other attachment that I can see. What a mess... Why is there always just one lone screw left...???!!!

xxdabroxx
If you are too embarrassed to keep that ugly thing in your shop I think I could make room in mine to store it for you.

I was confused at first too, but if you look more closely for the leg vise, you'll realize the top is on the ground, leaned against the bench.
