Coffee Table

Kev, another build I'm going to have to follow along with.  I really like the wood selection for this.  When you had the samples for the Dutchman, I originally thought the paduak would be interesting, but after the sanding, the Ebony would look really good.

when you say a lot of trips ... 15-20 or like 40ish? Just curious and @ what grit?

Question on the epoxy as well .. Did you tape the top cracks and pour the epoxy from what will be the bottom of the piece? or vice versa?

Probably 20ish... I believe it was 120 Grit on the machine..  @Chet K please correct me if that's wrong..

As for the cracks, no, we taped the bottom and poured from the top.

I would splay the three legs and have them land on a curved strip that echoes the curve on the top.

Thanks for letting us follow along.

Thanks Steve!  We actually looked very hard at that exact thing.  Unfortunately, the width of the slab and the overall height of the table just didn't really allow for it.  I do agree that would be an awesome look if we'd of had a little better circumstances.

Like what you guys are doing with the base design and the top is looking good also.   Your videos always seem to go by fast.

Thanks Mat!  I do purposely try and keep the videos a bit on the short side.  I could certainly do longer videos?  I know I'll have one in July that's nearly 15 minutes long and I struggled with putting out something that long!
