Popular Post DerekMPBS Posted February 18 Popular Post Report Posted February 18 Well, we got our winter. We had 1 1/2 inches of snow on Monday night, and 8 inches last night. It's that heavy wet snow too, so it's going to be no fun shoveling. And we're predicted to get more tonight and tomorrow. Then, of course, it's supposed to be up to 47 degrees next Monday, so we're going to have a melt-off and everything will be soggy. Then more snow. Stupid groundhog. 4 Quote

What a difference a day can make. Yesterday was 50°. Today is blowing accumulating snow, high winds and white knuckle driving. 50 miles to go.... 3 Quote
drzaius Posted February 18 Report Posted February 18 Winter sure came back with a vengeance for us yesterday. -27C and blizzard conditions with visibility down to zero at times. Yuck! 5 Quote

Yuck! We got the lighter end of the same storm. The rain and snow made for road conditions on par with black ice. I was halfway up a cloverleaf when a car at the top of the ramp got stuck, forcing traffic to stop. I couldn't get any forward momentum going uphill, and completely blocked the on ramp on an exchange of 2 of our busiest highways, for 4 hours. In a semi. Hundreds of cars backed up, thanks to little old me. Stressful to say the least. Ended up being a 19.5 hour work day. Worst day of work I've had in years. And of course, this happened less than 5 minutes from my destination. 1 7 Quote
Popular Post treeslayer Posted February 20 Author Popular Post Report Posted February 20 A record 64 last week, 4 to 8 inches of snow predicted for tonight and tomorrow with 40 MPH winds, should be fun 3 1 1 Quote
Popular Post Coop Posted February 20 Popular Post Report Posted February 20 I know the feeling. 69* low last night, 82* high today. We’re gonna get hit by a norther Monday with a low of 42* and high of 66*. Frustrating! 3 Quote
Tpt life Posted February 20 Report Posted February 20 90° today, with mid 30s as a low on Tuesday morning. Indiana got jokes the whole time I lived there, but it seems these swings happen in a lot of places. 2 Quote

So how did you get your rig moving again? 1 1 Quote

Which is the last thing i ever want to call for, because it's admitting defeat. But mother nature won that fight with a decisive knockout. Lol. And yes, i didn't take the next day off but i did start a few hours later than usual! 3 Quote
Popular Post legenddc Posted February 25 Popular Post Report Posted February 25 We got more snow on Monday but it was short lived. Supposedly we got 4.5” but some parts of our county only got 1”. The snow stuck to the trees so lots of branches and trees came down around here. Pictures are at 8 AM and 6 PM. 6 Quote
Popular Post Von Posted February 27 Popular Post Report Posted February 27 We woke surprised to find a couple of inches of snow on the ground yesterday. The high was in the 50s and 90%+ of it was gone by the end of the day. Expected high today in the 60s. 4 Quote
Ron Swanson Jr. Posted March 14 Report Posted March 14 Well here we go. Supposed to get somewhere between 10-20" of snow tonight and tomorrow. Our annual late March snowstorm has arrived early, and angry. 4 Quote
Von Posted March 14 Report Posted March 14 We're supposed to go from 70s tomorrow to a high of 32 on Monday. Quote

treeslayer Posted March 15 Author Report Posted March 15 Yeah forecast for tomorrow is 4-8 inches of snow and just to make it extra special 40-50 MPH winds making for blizzard conditions 3 Quote
wtnhighlander Posted March 15 Report Posted March 15 My part of TN is in the "Hot Tommorrow, cold Monday" zone, with a chance of tornadoes thrown in for good measure. Yay, spring. 1 4 Quote
Popular Post Tom King Posted March 15 Popular Post Report Posted March 15 I forget which two days, but last week we had a 90 degree record day, then the temp started dropping like a rock, cold rain, and for a while the next day after that 90 degree day we had a heavy wet snow falling for about a half hour. Everything was too warm for it to stick though. 3 Quote
Popular Post Ron Swanson Jr. Posted March 16 Popular Post Report Posted March 16 We landed on about 12" give or take. Maybe a little less. Going to be cold tomorrow and Tuesday, warming up after that. I'm hopeful that the warming trend carries us through... But not that hopeful. 3 Quote
Tom King Posted March 16 Report Posted March 16 We almost never have a wind from the SE. Today it was blowing 12 gusting to 24 from the SE all day, and still tonight the exact same. 1 Quote

If it was from the SW, we’d take credit for sending you warmer weather but since was from the SE, perhaps credit goes to Floridians or maybe even the folks from Cuba? 1 Quote
wtnhighlander Posted March 16 Report Posted March 16 Our high temp today was 77F, and the local forecast is calling for a low of 18F before sunrise. 3 Quote

Popular Post legenddc Posted March 16 Popular Post Report Posted March 16 We dropped one day last week from 73 at midnight to 32 and had a bunch of snow. The previous two days it was record highs in the mid-80s so it all melted fairly quickly. Today it's a high of 72, low of 38 and we're under a tornado watch until 7 PM. A lot of schools around here are closing early or didn't open today. 3 Quote
