Popular Post Tom Cancelleri
I guess I should update this. Since the last update, we had holidays and I spent some time relaxing, and not working on the vanity. Taking time off of work and doing something that isn't for you is the idea of communism. since then I've cut the doors to size installed the hinges, and worked on the door panels. Door 1 all fitted up First coat on panel one
shaneymack
Looks awesome Tom. Is it me or is one of those rails not like the others? ?? Sent from my SGH-I337M using Tapatalk
Tom Cancelleri
One of those rails is not like the other. Once it's all sanded and has finish on it, we're gonna call it good to go. It'll look ok. If you look at the overall picture of the vanity, all the rails look a bit different colored. Door 1 is now in clamps while glue dries. Like the Beatles said... Popular Post Tom Cancelleri
Look, installed doors! Gotta give em a quick pass through the dum sander, then sand the frames. Install the slab drawer fronts, build the shaker drawer fronts now that the doors are on. Yay for relative dimensioning. estesbubba
Looking good Tom. You realize you could have built 3 more Roubos in this time and sold them for $4000 a piece right
Tom Cancelleri
Sooo close! There was a last minute change yesterday. Instead of shaker drawer faces, he decided he wanted slab drawer faces for the bottom two drawers. 1 more drawer face to make, followed by handle install, final sanding, and then take it all apart and spray the doors and drawers.

wtnhighlander
Looking good, Tom! Did you pre-finish the panels, or do they just look darker as a trick of the lighting?
Tom Cancelleri
Just now, wtnhighlander said: Looking good, Tom! Thanks Ross, I prefinished the panels with satin poly to avoid any unfinished area showing if the panel contracts a little due to seasonal movement. The panels are resting on Spaceballs to keep them from rattling, and to allow movement.

They are rubber balls about 1/4" diameter that sir in your rails and stiles, allows for expansion and contraction, while keeping the panel from rattling. Popular Post Tom Cancelleri
Had to make a jig for drilling the handles. Handles installed! Finishing is next. Gonna spray, might not set that up until tomorrow though, I'm tired of vanitying today. Sent from my 831C using Tapatalk

Tom Cancelleri
Really close to being done has got to feel good ! It's a great feeling. Gone either Sunday or Monday, depending on If I finish the finish tomorrow. It's an aggressive finishing schedule, using ultra day dying water based poly. Spraying everything Sent from my 831C using Tapatalk
