Popular Post bradpotts
I have been working on building a few doors recently. They are for the same couple I built the cabinets for. I decided I wanted to make laminated styles and rails instead of slab style. I decided to glue all of them together than rip them down again. I made this jig to cut the panels because the tenon is also the profile. two of the doors were barn style doors. with trim. Sorry guys not much of a talker, but hopefully you get the idea.
Coop
Fantastic job man, as usual. To a non woodworker, the first pic looks like a bunch of sticks. They would never think that each one took at least 2 cuts, maybe more, after they are milled to thickness. And that's only the beginning! Obviously a pleased customer as they came back for more!
Chet
The doors look great Brad, even with the dark stain but I know they match everything else, and do stand out against the white walls. Great job.

Pwk5017
Keep in mind i know diddly about door building, but what was the process here? You made the rails and stiles out of laminated rips to be more stable? Looks like you oriented the rips to be more vertical grain/quarter sawn. Finally, you skinned everything in thick shop sawn veneer? Interested in the pros of this process. They look sharp in their home setting. I learned through asking how I should build them on this forum. Your work looks great Brad. I like how the finish looks and it is cool to see your shop also. Mat- here are some pictures of my shop. It wasn't always like this though. Here is a picture of when I first started.
