Popular Post Ibboykin
Just joining. I've enjoyed woodworking for years but didn't have the space or the tools. My father, who recently passed away was a very accomplished woodworker (hobby). He never did it for money. He said when you do it for money it becomes a job. He specialized in Shaker furniture and was quite good. I am in the midst of moving all the tools from Mississippi back to Kentucky. I look forward to starting construction on my new shop in the coming months. I don't know that I will follow his exact footsteps. I will find my own niche of what I want to build. Looking forward to sharing the journey with y'all.

RichardA, I actually live right on the Tennessee state line just above Martin and Union City in the small town of Fulton. We are the most Southwest corner of Kentucky. gee-dub
Welcome. It is a pleasure to more formally join an activity that you have enjoyed for some time. When I kicked back into the craft it really made me a happier guy.
BonPacific
Welcome to the forum. Sounds like you'll have a fine set of tools to start out with, and a fine memory to join you in the shop.

Yep....folks in Eastern KY are shocked when they learn the state extends westward beyond Bowling Green. Lol
Gixxerjoe04
Yea, it's a long drive to make it to the end of the state out there, went and picked up a jointer from a town like 10 miles into Tennessee past Murray state, sure was long day.
