Hi all,

I’ve been a member of another WW forum for a couple of years, but have been listening to the Woodtalk Podcast for a while now. I thought I would give this forum a try. I have been woodworking for about 2 years now and it has become an obsession. I have so much to learn, and am always looking for new sources. I am looking forward to continuing the journey.

Thanks for the warm welcome. I am excited to be here. As far as McComb, that is about 5 hours south of here on 55. It is strange that it was mentioned as that is where I spent the first 18 years of my life. Could I ask why you wanted to know, Mr. Cooper?

I'm not speaking for Coop, But I used to live in Washington Parish and Tangi  Parish, just down the road from McComb.

My wife was born there, probably close to 1912. She currently has relatives in Franklinton LA.

Richard - spent lots of time in those areas growing up. 

Coop - good to know. Oddly enough, my younger brother lives in Houston. Small world.

Welcome from one state over - NW Louisiana.  My wife's folks are in Vicksburg and her sister in Bovina so we get over to MS a few times every year.  Lots of good info here and plenty of good discussions.
