Thought it might be nice to have an ongoing thread where we can share deals or sales on woodworking tools and materials. 

To start it off-

Harvey Tools is running a sale through the weekend. The Ambassador bandsaw is currently $1,749, which is the lowest I have seen it in a while. Current “list” price is $2,499 though it is not often actually sold at that price. A lot of their other tools are on sale as well, but that’s the most notable.

I've been seeing it that price a lot of places. A midwest box store Menards has it for that and then 11% off on top.

Bosch has a new updated version of the colt router so they are probably just trying to ditch inventory.

Good info, thanks! I picked one up, remembering your tip for keeping a router bit from rolling around in the drawer.

I have an old Dewalt 12" sliding miter saw and have been looking for a good replacement.  Pretty fair deal here.

I'm trying to stay strong and buy neither. I really don't need another set but would like the smaller form of the Milwaukee.

Milwaukee will have some updated M12 fuel drill/impacts out soon so maybe the price will go down on the current ones.

I've snagged quite a few M12 tools now and I really like them. One of my favorite tools is the 6" "hatchet" chainsaw. The little guy is quite powerful and the little batteries provide enough power to get a decent sized job done. I used mine to drop a ~10" diameter ash tree that died in my yard. The hatchet doesn't have good sight lines for dropping a tree so that kinda sucks. It was honestly fun to put the techniques I've learned to fell a tree when the bar doesn't go all the way through. So far i haven't had a chance to drop a tree that the 36" bar on my MS661 can't handle.
