jmako095
Finished product of an anchor intarsia I recently designed and finished. Ended up being far more technical than expected because of having to bevel the wood before cutting a majority of the pieces.

..Kev
Awesome piece! How big is it? There's nothing in the pictures to reference size. Great detail!
jmako095
Piece is approximately 15 inches from top to bottom and 12 inches wide. Thank you for the kind words.

wtnhighlander
Very nice! The irregularity of the rope twists is a perfect compliment to the smooth symmetry of the anchor. Thanks for sharing that!
Eric.
That is killer, man. Nicely done. Original design or did you use a pattern you got somewhere?
Tom Cancelleri
Pretty awesome. Lots of attention to detail there.
jmako095
Design was about 4" square and was a picture of a tattoo. From there had to enlarge it and then re-draw a lot of it because lines were noticeably off. I added the shading look from it's original flat form look. The woods are sapele, cherry and basswood. Originally had planned on using white oak instead of basswood for the rope; however, with all of the shaping and graduating of heights, ended up being a blessing that I used basswood instead.
