Popular Post curlyoak
Based on information gained here I found the product stop loss bags. A way to preserve finishes. The package comes with 4 bags. I opted for the funnel and the xtra caps. A great idea. But I had a defect in one of the bags. I was successful with 3 bags. I thought it may be the cap. It was the bag. I called woodcraft and they are sending me a 4 pack of bags and a quart of general armRseal, That was their offer. Couldn't be more fair than that. I end up better than whole. I like this company.
Bankstick
I like Woodcraft. I have spent so much money there, they all now drive Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, Ferrari, etc. When I leave, they throw a big party to celebrate. I sometimes hear champagne corks popping. Seriously, our store in Chattanooga, TN is great. Always good service and advice on any question.
RIW
I didn't know they reopened the Chattanooga store. I need to make time to go in between a project.
Coop
My Rockler store will call every time I miss going in every two weeks to check on me. Glad you had good results with Woodcraft. Those bags are neat. I filled my first with ARS and left it on my bench for a couple of weeks and now it looks darker than when I filled it. Will sunlight do that to this finish or is it my imagination?

Coop
I’d hate to know what you had to buy it back for!
Spanky
I don’t see how a woodworker can buy lumber from them. But they do. The guy that sells lumber to Woodcraft don’t live 5 miles from me.

If it’s satin or semi gloss Coop when it sits it will separate and appear to be two different shades, mixing fixes that, I don’t know if that’s what you are experiencing
Popular Post Coop
Wife’s uncle from Louisiana let me cut down a walnut from his property 4 years ago and I brought it back to have it milled and he’s seen the slabs stickered since then. He was in town 3 weeks ago and rode with me to Rockler and saw the walnut slabs there for $450 and up. I had to buy their dinner the whole time they were in town. 1
treeslayer
My kids know to get me Woodcraft gift cards, always a great gift. I shop at the one in Madison Wisconsin when I’m in the area, great store, helpful people.
RichardA
Damn, I didn't know there was a Woodcraft in Choo Choo. That ends my mail order.

RichardA
I don't go to Nashville, unless I'm driving a tractor trailer loaded down. Those idiots have never read the rules of the road. K town is a waste of time for me, to far and to easy to get lost there. Choo Choo I can handle.
curlyoak
There are no Rocklers or woodcraft stores in my area. My only access is online.
wdwerker
It looks like Stuart Fla. is 2 hours or more to most woodworking stores except Constantines which is 1 1/2 hours. http://www.constantines.com/ They used to be in New York. I've ordered veneer from them. Worth a look anyways.
Jonathan McCully
No Rockler nearby for me but I do frequent the Woodcraft in Austin (about an hour drive) when I get down there. Don’t typically buy wood from them though as they are more expensive than the other hardwood dealers in the area
AceHoleInOne
Wood? Give Bob Kloes a call. He ships all over, mostly figured stock. He's come across some really nice birdseye and curly walnut. Go check him out! Click "lumber" at the top of his page. He has a Facebook link, that's better to see what he has going on now. -Ace-
curlyoak
Steve, I went to Fort "Liquerdale" for my 50th high school reunion. Had not been there in years. All the buildings down town changed to skyscrapers. Major concrete canyons. If I needed something that constantine's has I would order it online. A white knuckle drive. Not worth it. Ace, Not wood just hardware, finish, etc. But it was an interesting site that has been bookmarked for future reference. Thanks. Do you hit the ball like Daily? Pondhockey
Boise WoodCraft is 2.5 hrs from me, but they still know who I am (and even made a few deliveries to me in McCall!)
