..Kev
Going to try and get the screws in this bad boy today.. Then, I'll be taking a bit of time away from the chair to get some other projects done.Setting up to put in a DC system. To do it, I have a bunch of rearranging that I have to do not just in my shop but, the garage and storage rooms as well. I'll do another shop tour when everything is in place and ready for the new DC unit.

..Kev
Thanks Shane, I'm happy with it. There are many here with much nicer shops for sure! I wish some of them would post tours because it helps all the rest of us gleen ideas for our own shops. Legs are on! Test Drive.. Had a little help from my son today.. Brendon_t
Sweet progress man. That's a bummer about the project pack. I agree that if they take on the responsibly of providing "hand picked lumber" specifically for that package, it's on them to ensure they supply usable lumber. From watching the videos to this point, how have you found the actual process and work compared to your expectation?

A couple of times I had to pay attention to his orientation of the boards because he didn't explain it but, the information is there. Just don't go off willy nilly and you'll be fine. davewyo
If a board wasn't wide enough to yield a full cut on both sides, there will be some wane...it's the outermost of the tree. Bark may be present, but usually it's fallen off and you'll be looking at cambium.Thanks.

..Kev
Time for the arms.. Stock milled and tapered in the front. I let the wife pick out the grain pattern she wanted so, there's some extra marks I don't need Lots of layout and fitting here. Marc explains and shows it well but, take your time and pay attention! Trickiest part of the build so far IMO. Here's the dry fit.

..Kev
How many hours have you put into this chair so far Kev?No clue to be honest Shane.. I guess I should have kept track.. Burning a bit of the midnight oil but, got the basic sculpting on the arms complete and the screws in. Should have gotten a better picture but, it's late. Mick S
That looks great, Kev! I doubt that I'm too far behind you on this build - well after the dresser, bookcase, table and chairs... But it's definitely a bucket list item. After all, I have to make something for myself now and then!
wtnhighlander
You know what I hate? Kev just finished a long session of sculpting, and there isn't a speck of dust to be seen in the photo. Nice work, Kev! This chair will be outstanding.
